A part of mindfulness is meditation, here we are learning how to return to, and remain in, the present moment to anchor ourselves in the here and now on purpose, without judgment. Mindfulness is for everyone and everyone can learn how to meditate. It is very easy, you just need the right mindset to learn it! You can start meditating anywhere you want. It doesn’t matter if you are on vacation, at home or during your break at work. Just take time for the moment!
We are going to teach you the basics for beginners, this will help you fight anxiety and stress. Meditation will clear your mind while you practice bringing your attention to your breath, and then back to the breath when you notice your attention has wandered. The following steps will help you to meditate.
How to meditate:
- Put something comfortable on because you need to sit still for a few minutes. Our Fierce top and Fierce pants are super comfortable and ideal for meditation.
- Focus on your natural inhaling and exhaling.
- Try to keep your attention at your breathing. Focus on your breath and check where you feel your breath the most. Is it in your belly or somewhere else?
- Inhale and exhale for two minutes, while doing this take deep inhalations, expand your belly and then exhale slowly.
This way your thoughts are turned off for a few minutes while you focus on your inhalations. It really helps to calm down and put things in perspective. If you meditate frequently your memory, focus, handling and control of emotions, attention span, alertness and finding inner peace will increase. You will also be able to handel physical pain easier.
